Certification of the cargo-passenger version of the An-2 "kukruznik" is scheduled to be completed by mid-2025, according to Dmitry Yadrov, head of Rosaviatsiya.
Then, specialists will begin import substitution, replacing the foreign aircraft engine with a Russian analogue.
Certification in its current form should be completed by the middle of this year. Further (modifications) will depend on the power plant and the passage of certification activities.
Currently, three options are being considered — TVD-10, VK-800 or VK-1600.
Earlier, www1.ru reported that Russia will restore production of the Soviet TVD-10 aircraft engine for modernized An-2 aircraft.
