Двигатель ПД-14 для авиалайнера МС-21 подтвердил работу в условиях обледенения

UEC: PD-14 is capable of operating at air temperatures below 10 degrees Celsius

The design of the PD-14 engine has confirmed its operability in icing conditions, that is, at ambient air temperatures below minus 10 degrees Celsius. This was reported by the press service of the United Engine Corporation (UEC).

The UEC noted that the reliable operation of the engine at low temperatures is important for flight safety. Icing can lead to damage to the internal elements of the engine.

The domestic materials and design solutions used in the design of the PD-14 ensure the engine's resistance to external influences, including the ingress of ice fragments.
