Gusarov emphasized that references to the lack of funds should not be taken into account. The whole problem lies in outdated technologies thatdo not allow mass production of Tu-214.

A lot of manual labor. Simply because the plane is from a different era. Modern aircraft already have electronic digital documentation. Parts for them are processed on digital machines, it does it in half an hour, but before the whole shift did it for a whole week. This allows you to increase production, which is incorporated in new projects - SJ-100 and MS-21. All this is not in old aircraft, the cycle of production of each aircraft is long and laborious.

Global Scaling of the Plant - The Way Out of the Pit

To increase production volumes, scaling is needed, the aviation expert noted. You need to buy more machines, hire more staff.

At the same time, new workshops are being built at KAZ, but equipment still needs to be brought there, that is, to increase production capacity many times over.

And 20 new Tu-214 aircraft per year could solve the problem of the aviation industry. But I don't see such a volume in the foreseeable future, because there is no miracle. The aviation conveyor is spinning slowly, it is necessary that all related companies also accelerate production - including engines and even rivets. The entire industry needs to accelerate.

Three Members in the Crew - A Deep Relic of the Past

Gusarov added that in its current form,Tu-214 is somewhere inferior to foreigners in terms of fuel, but there are key points - for example, a three-member crew cabin.

This is a very serious story. Each aircraft in the airline needs four crews. For example, another aircraft needs only eight pilots, and the Tu-214 needs 12 already. The costs are higher. And pilots receive a salary of 500 thousand rubles, calculate what this will cost airlines. But there is nowhere to go, there are simply no other aircraft. Aeroflot has ordered all the MS-21s planned for construction until 2030. And what should other airlines do? They are ready to take the Tu-214, but where will the liners come from?
