By the end of 2025, the Perm plant "Mashinostroitel" (part of the "Tactical Missile Armament" corporation) will complete a priority investment project to expand the production of components for the advanced aviation engine PD-8. This follows from the materials of the meeting of the Council for Entrepreneurship in the Perm Territory.
The status of a priority investment project was assigned to "Mashinostroitel" in September 2022. It involves the construction of a production building for the assembly of the thrust reverser and PD-8 components.
The amount of investment in the project exceeded 2.08 billion rubles. In the future, the company is ready to produce components for up to 200 engines per year.
PD-8 engines are planned to be installed on import-substituted Superjet aircraft. Currently, the aircraft are operated with a French-Russian power plant consisting of two SaM 146 engines.
Earlier www1.ru reported that Superjet with PD-8 engines passed a rigorous test in Zhukovsky.
