The BELAZ-75855 mine dump truck and the BELAZ-79550 load-haul-dump machine will be delivered to Norilsk Nickel's mining operations in the Arctic for pilot industrial operation. The corresponding agreement was signed on the sidelines of the Innoprom-2026 exhibition in Yekaterinburg. This was reported by the press service of the Belarusian manufacturer of quarry equipment.
BelAZ and Norilsk Nickel will continue their joint development of specialized, high-tech underground machines, independent of imports.
Belarusian specialists developed the BELAZ-75855 in cooperation with Norilsk Nickel for underground work. The dump truck is designed to transport rock mass from mining sites to unloading points.
The special equipment is equipped with a Russian engine with a power of 550 hp, tire pressure monitoring systems, and key component condition monitoring systems. The BELAZ-75855 cabin provides noise insulation and climate control.
The BELAZ-79550 load-haul-dump machine has an extended chassis for installing various technological equipment. It will be used in open-pit operations. The equipment's lifting capacity is 17.2 tons.
