At Norilsk TPP-3, the replacement of outdated bus ducts with modern systems with 6 kV cast insulation has been completed. The work was carried out by RTK-ELEKTRO, part of the NEK Group. The equipment has already been installed and put into operation.
New TKLS type bus ducts were connected to transformer 22 T. They transmit electricity from power transformers to the station's switchgear. Previously, similar equipment had already been replaced on transformers 1TR, 21 T, 5TR, and 24 T – all units are operating normally.
The key difference of the new bus ducts is cast insulation instead of outdated air insulation. This solution increases system reliability in extreme conditions: during sudden temperature changes, high humidity, and exposure to aggressive industrial environments. Norilsk TPP-3 provides heat and electricity to the Nadezhdinsky Metallurgical Plant named after B.Yu. Kolesnikov and the Kayerkan residential area, so equipment fault tolerance is critically important.
Company specialists note that TKLS bus ducts demonstrate stable parameters in real operating conditions, which confirms the correctness of the chosen technical concept.
