New domestic aircraft are, in most cases, the most modern developments in the world in their size class. This was stated by the executive director of the agency Aviaport, aviation expert Oleg Panteleev.
According to him, the MC-21 is currently the newest platform for a medium-haul aircraft.
In technical terms, it is more advanced than the Boeing 737 MAX, Airbus A320neo and the Chinese C919.
Panteleev added that the main solutions in the SJ-100 were laid down back in the 2000s, and in terms of its main characteristics it is at the level of Brazilian Embraer airliners.
The Il-114-300, "Ladoga," "Baikal," and "Osvey" are the most modern aircraft in the world in their respective size classes.
Analysts from the YouTube channel Luxe Fleet presented a comparison of the characteristics of the MC-21-310 and the Boeing 737 MAX. They concluded that at the moment the Russian aircraft makes more sense for domestic carriers, while Boeing is more versatile on the global market. The analysts explained this conclusion by the well-developed service support of the American brand.
Aviation expert Roman Gusarov also told "Pervomu tekhnicheskomu" that the "Superjet" is absolutely in no way inferior to the Canadian Bombardier and the Brazilian Embraer, therefore statements about the inefficiency of the aircraft have no basis.
