The Ministry of Industry and Trade has instructed state corporations to automate factories to a level where humans do not participate in the technological cycle. The goal is to strengthen technological sovereignty and dramatically increase labor productivity.
According to the Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, Anton Alikhanov, the first steps in this direction are already being implemented. The United Aircraft Corporation (UAC, part of Rostec) is completing the first phase of robotization at its plant in Rudnevo. The second phase of modernization, he said, will be completed by 2027, which will allow the company to fully switch to autonomous, or so-called "dark", production.
Alikhanov emphasized that it is precisely a matter of completely abandoning the permanent presence of personnel on the production line — all operations, including assembly, quality control and logistics within the workshop, will be performed by robotic systems.
The General Director of Rostec, Sergey Chemezov, clarified that the state corporation strives for maximum automation where technically possible. According to him, highly robotic areas are already operating at the group's enterprises, including KAMAZ, but there is no full-fledged "dark" production yet. An exception may be the aircraft manufacturing sector — it is becoming a pilot zone for the introduction of advanced solutions in the field of industrial automation.
