Yuri Nurtdinov, formerly the chief engineer of the Moscow-based "ODK-Salut" enterprise, has been appointed the new director of the Omsk Engine-Building Association (OMO) named after P.I. Baranov, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Omsk Region reported.
In this position, Nurtdinov replaced Igor Shapovalov, who will continue to lead the branch of PJSC "ODK-Saturn" — OMKB.
It should be reminded that OMO named after Baranov produces a number of components for the NK-32 engine of the Tu-160M strategic missile carrier "White Swan" — rotor disks, deflectors, shafts and other components of the hot section of the unit.
In 2025, the plant was among the top three leaders in terms of growth rates of industrial production among the enterprises of the United Engine Corporation (part of Rostec).
Earlier it became known that the main manufacturer of NK-32 engines, the Samara-based "ODK-Kuznetsov", secured orders until 2027. In December, the company put into operation the newest building for the production of gas turbine engine compressors.
