Missile launches were carried out from the newest small missile ship "Burya" of project 22800

The Russian Ministry of Defense shared a rare video of testing the naval anti-aircraft missile and artillery system "Pantsir-M". The system demonstrated effective operation against a high-speed target simulating the flight profile of a cruise missile. The launches were carried out from the newest carrier of Kalibr-NK family missiles, the small missile ship "Burya" of project 22800 "Karakurt".

The "Pantsir-M" combat module is equipped with a 1RS2-3 target tracking and missile guidance radar station, built on the basis of a reflective phased antenna array (RPAA). This radar provides tracking of several aerodynamic objects simultaneously at ranges of over 30 km and allows the formation of a narrow beam to improve guidance accuracy.

The "Pantsir-M" is capable of automatically detecting, classifying and tracking targets, as well as firing both missiles and 30-mm AK-630M-2 "Duet" automatic cannons, which provide protection in the near zone at distances up to 4 km.
