The award ceremony for the winners and runners-up of the III All-Russian competition "Inventor of the Year" took place in Moscow. In the nomination "Industrial Support of Transport Mobility", the prize was awarded to Anton Tereshko, Chief Specialist in Strength Testing, Head of the Department of the A. Lulka Design Bureau (a branch of UEC-UMPO). He was recognized for developing an innovative method for vibration diagnostics of twin-shaft turbomachines, co-authored with colleagues.
The vibration diagnostics method is applied to AL-41ST-25 and AL-31ST gas turbine engines and allows for the rapid detection of increased vibration defects during testing. The use of this technology significantly reduces the time to detect and eliminate malfunctions, increasing the reliability and efficiency of gas turbine units.
The development has already been protected by a patent, which emphasizes its uniqueness and practical value for the aviation and energy industries.
It is also noted that at the related enterprise UEC-STAR, an innovative control system was implemented in the Russian PD-35 engine, providing control of fuel supply in the combustion chambers. This is a significant step in the development of the engine.
Earlier www1.ru reported that UEC-Saturn has modernized production for the PD-8 and SaM146 engines.
