Small-capacity NPP with RHYTHM-200N reactors to be automated by Rosatom

The "brain center" will provide automated collection, storage and visualization of equipment status data

JSC "Rosatom Automated Control Systems" (RASU) presented an interactive model of an automated process control system (APCS) for a small-capacity NPP with RHYTHM-200N reactors, which will be built in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) and Uzbekistan.

It will provide automated collection, storage and visualization of equipment status data, as well as the second key functionality that the concept demonstrates - remote control of technological processes.

As specified in the press service, a top-level control system, a "brain center" of completely Russian production, will be specially developed and implemented for the APCS of future small-capacity NPPs.

The model also showed the operator information support system (OISS), already used at the Novovoronezh NPP. This technology, in fact, creates a "digital twin" of the power unit. It allows the mathematical model to receive data directly from a real nuclear power plant, providing the operator with a valuable opportunity to compare the ideal, simulated state of the object with the real indicators coming from the operating NPP.

As the company noted, the system does not replace a person, but transforms his role, and artificial intelligence can potentially be applied in the APCS of nuclear power plants.

Earlier www1.ru reported that to increase the production rate of MS-21 aircraft at the Irkutsk Aviation Plant, the installation of four new machines has begun.
