The VK-1600V engine has been developed since 2019 for use in Ka-62 helicopters, including for import substitution of the Ardiden 3G installation by Safran.
Engine certification is scheduled for Q2 2026. Currently, the engine development is at the stage of bench testing, according to the materials.
The VK-1600V engine is designed for installation on Ka-62 helicopters, special and multi-purpose helicopters with a take-off weight of 5-8 tons. To date, there are no domestic engines of this size.
