Mass production of engines for drones has been established in Russia. This was announced by the General Director of Rostec, Sergey Chemezov.
In response to a relevant question, he said the following:
We are already doing it. And mass production is underway, of course, it is underway.
Meanwhile, specialists from the Moscow Aviation Institute (MAI) have already begun developing a powerful hybrid power plant for unmanned aerial vehicles.
The goal of the MAI project is to create a power plant for promising air taxis and drones with a carrying capacity of over 500 kg. All work is being carried out within the framework of a state grant.
Tests of the technology demonstrator and completion of development work are scheduled for 2026.
