The MAZ-64102L (6x2) truck tractor was presented at the ComAutoTrans exhibition in Moscow. This model, developed on the basis of a serial truck tractor with improved consumer properties, is equipped with a rear lifting axle and is designed for long-distance transportation as part of a road train with various semi-trailers.
The rear axle of the vehicle automatically adjusts its position: when fully loaded, it lowers, evenly distributing the weight, and when empty, it rises. This solution should not only optimize the load distribution between the axles for maximum transportation efficiency, but also contribute to fuel economy, extend tire life and improve maneuverability.
The vehicle is equipped with a reliable and economical power plant. A powerful engine (453 hp) of Belarusian assembly works in conjunction with a 12-speed robotic gearbox. The leading hypoid axle (second axle) further increases fuel efficiency, provides smooth running, reduces noise and increases overall efficiency. Pneumatic suspension with electronic control on the drive and lifting axles, disc brakes, as well as ABS/ESP systems and a retarder ensure the safety and durability of the brake system, especially when driving with heavy loads on descents.
The technically permissible total weight of the road train is 44 tons, the load on the fifth wheel coupling is 16.7 tons. The height of the fifth wheel coupling above the road level is 1150 mm. The tractor is equipped with an aluminum fuel tank with a volume of 500 liters, which provides a range of about 1,800 km.
