On the morning of July 7, a civilian drone crashed in Kazan, it crashed on a country house in the Dubki horticultural society. The press service of the Ural Civil Aviation Plant (UZGA) stated that the cause of the emergency was the shutdown of satellite navigation.
During the flight, satellite navigation was disrupted by unidentified external means of electronic warfare. The drone continued to fly using an inertial navigation system. To approach for landing, the aircraft had to be taken for a second go-around. The landing was carried out in inertial mode.
According to the Telegram channel "Informant", we are talking about a test prototype of the Altius-RU reconnaissance and strike drone. The drone has been developed since 2011, officially launched into production in 2021, since then there have been several test samples.
The Volga Transport Prosecutor's Office is conducting an investigation after a civilian drone crashed on a country plot in Kazan. The supervisory authority noted that there were no casualties, the fire was quickly extinguished. The circumstances and causes of the emergency are being established.
