Currently, the shunting locomotive, equipped with the "Autodriver" system, is undergoing preliminary tests at the Luga station. In the summer, the locomotive will be transferred to Chelyabinsk, where a pilot project of a digital sorting station is being implemented.

Acceptance of the locomotive is scheduled for December. Based on its results, the possibility of purchasing 11 TEM23 locomotives with an unmanned system in 2026 will be considered.

The new generation TEM23 locomotive was launched into serial production at the Bryansk Machine-Building Plant last year. The key element of the "Autodriver" system is an obstacle detection unit with technical vision. Also, as part of the work with the system, it is planned to modernize 15 TEM7A shunting locomotives from the Lyudinovo Locomotive Plant.

Earlier, www1.ru reported that the TEP70BS diesel locomotive will undergo certification tests at the Kolomna plant.
