Russian specialists have developed a reel for fiber optic control cable for FPV drones with a range of 50 km. The weight of the product is 3.8 kg.
This product will provide interference-protected control and telemetry for multi-purpose heavy-duty Baba Yaga class copters, all the way to remote positional areas of long-range 155-mm artillery.
Objective control footage of the new fiber optic strike drones has not yet been released.
A significant advantage of fiber optic controlled drones is their ability to maneuver in difficult conditions without losing signal. This allows operators to attack targets hidden in urban ruins or forests, where conventional drones are unable to reach.
