Общей мощностью 440 кВт: выпуск водородных приводов для подвижного состава освоят в России

Production Launch Scheduled for 2026

The Elektropult enterprise will master the production of hydrogen drives with a total capacity of 440 kW for rolling stock. The production launch is scheduled for 2026.

Currently, a stand for integration testing of components is being built at the plant, and employees are being trained to work with high pressure.

The hydrogen drive being created will include four fuel cells, a hydrogen storage system, lithium-ion accumulators, and a current converter. Each fuel cell will have a capacity of 110 kW.

We expect to achieve a service life of 20,000 hours in the first generation of fuel cells, and then bring it up to 25,000 hours.

The first application of this drive is planned in a hydrogen train from Transmashholding (TMH), the assembly of a pilot model of which has already begun. Certification should take place in 2026, and the operation of the first trains in Sakhalin is scheduled for 2027.

The operation of the fuel cells will be based on the "cold combustion" reaction between hydrogen and oxygen using a proton exchange membrane. The byproducts of this reaction will be water condensate and steam, and excess energy will be stored in batteries.

Earlier, www1.ru reported that the constructive secrets of Russian hydrogen trains were revealed in TMH.
