New Perspectives in the Aviation and Nuclear Industries: Rosatom Presents First Industrial 3D Printer — RusMelt 600M

8 More Such Devices Are on the Way

The Rosatom State Corporation presented its first domestic 3D printer for selective laser melting at the "Metalworking-2025" exhibition. This is the first time such equipment has been created in Russia.

3D printers of the "600" class open up new application prospects in the aviation and space industries, the nuclear industry, energy, engine building — wherever the manufacture of large and complex parts from metal alloys is required.
Olga Ospennikova, Executive Director of the Additive Technology Development Association

The RusMelt 600M 3D printer is capable of printing with metal powders with a build area of 600×600×600 mm. It is equipped with four ytterbium lasers and a melting control system.

The built-in system monitors the consumption of materials in the printer and ensures high process accuracy. A special mechanized complex is provided to simplify the unloading and cleaning of parts.

According to Ilya Kavelashvili, Director of the Additive Technologies business line of Rosatom's fuel division, it is planned to create eight such machines. Some of them are intended for export to friendly countries.

Earlier, www1.ru reported that Rostec showed how 3D printing of aircraft engine parts works.
