INTC "Nevskaya Delta" to become a platform for innovation in underwater technologies and testing of marine robots

A Center for the Development of Marine Robotics is planned to open in the Innovation and Technology Center "Nevskaya Delta" in St. Petersburg.

The creation of the center is the result of cooperation between SPbGMTU and SPbGU, aimed at synchronizing projects for the formation of innovative scientific and technological complexes on the territory of "Primorskaya Dolina". The center will include an administrative and educational building, a system control complex, a laboratory building, as well as test sites for underwater work and a marine full-scale test site.

The innovation center will be located in the Pushkin district of St. Petersburg with the expansion of the territory to the Primorskaya educational and scientific base of SPbGMTU in the Leningrad region.

By the end of 2025, the INTC will start accepting residents with favorable tax conditions: exemption from income tax, property tax and VAT for ten years, reduction of insurance contributions from 30 to 15 percent, as well as compensation for customs payments.

In addition to marine robotics, the "Nevskaya Delta" will develop scientific and production areas in the field of ecology, energy, oil and gas technologies, agricultural technologies, medicine and pharmaceuticals, digitalization, biotechnology, instrumentation and artificial intelligence.

The creation of the center is important for strengthening the scientific and technical potential of the region and the development of promising technologies in the maritime industry.
