Даже муха мимо не пролетит: новейшую компактную РЛС обнаружения малых дронов разработали в России

The complex will detect the Baba Yaga and Furia UAVs at a range of 18 km

The High-Precision Complexes holding (part of Rostec) has developed a new compact radar station (RLS) for the military to detect small drones. The product is designed to survey the air situation in the near zone and responds to current threats from air drones.

The station developed by the Tula Central Design Bureau of Instrument Engineering of High-Precision Complexes is capable of detecting medium-sized drones at a range of at least 7.5 km. The system is lightweight at 45 kg and has small dimensions, which ensures its rapid deployment.

The design and compact dimensions of the radar allow it to be installed on various platforms - from mobile chassis to antenna-mast structures and building facades. The radar can be easily transported on any vehicle, including buggies, cars and even ATVs.

A near-zone airspace surveillance radar has been used to create an airspace control system (ACS), which includes up to 24 radar stations. Previously developed radars for the ACS weighed 115 kg and were four times larger than the new station. Izvestia wrote that the first airspace control systems are already operating in Russia, including in the special military operation zone.

The complex is capable of detecting even small drones. For example, the Mavic 2 copter with a camera is guaranteed to be detected at ranges up to 4 km. Drones of the "Baba Yaga" type, as well as UAVs of the aircraft type, for example, "Furia" or Mugin, are detected by the radar at a distance of 15–18 km.
