A Moscow programmer has developed an original strategy called Azrael on the free Ren'Py engine. Usually this tool is used to create visual novels, but the author managed to adapt it for the strategy genre with elements of tactical battles.
In Azrael, players will face demons and ancient gods, and will also be able to explore various planets and fight enemies. The game offers not only battles, but also the opportunity to engage in in-game economics, trade and puzzle solving.
Experts note that Azrael is a prime example of technical creativity and innovation in the gaming industry. The project demonstrates how familiar tools can be used to create unique content.
