The transition of medicine to digital technologies faces a serious psychological barrier: 25% of medical professionals are afraid of making mistakes when using new solutions. This is the conclusion reached by the authors of a study conducted by the Skolkovo Moscow School of Management and Ipsos Comcon.
The same number of specialists (25%) point to the lack of necessary technical infrastructure. Almost a quarter of respondents (24%) doubt the stability of digital systems. At the same time, 30% of doctors cited legal uncertainty in the field of telemedicine as a serious problem.
Anna Andreichenko, head of the Digital Technologies in Public Health Laboratory at ITMO University, told Vedomosti that there is a long way to go between isolated successful projects and the truly widespread adoption of digital solutions in healthcare.
