The Telegram team has announced a new update to the messenger, available for iOS in version 11.10. Versions for Android and PC will be updated in the near future. One of the key innovations is group audio and video calls, which support up to 200 participants. Now users can communicate with multiple interlocutors without creating a separate group.
Group calls provide protection using end-to-end encryption. Participants can verify security by comparing sets of emojis on the screen. It is also now possible to share the screen and join calls via a link or QR code.
For business users, Telegram has introduced chat bot automation. You can now manage messages, update profiles, and conduct transactions. Bots can delete messages and exchange gifts for stars.
The update introduces an account freeze system. In case of violations, accounts will be temporarily frozen, which will allow users to challenge the blocks. New gestures have been added for easy forwarding of messages and creating stories.
