An experienced prototype of the Russian short-haul aircraft SJ-100 arrived at Talagi International Airport in the city of Arkhangelsk. The aircraft covered about 1,200 kilometers from Zhukovsky in just 1 hour and 40 minutes, the United Aircraft Corporation (UAC) reported.
In Arkhangelsk, the aircraft will undergo certification tests over the White Sea coast.
The execution of this test program will allow us to assess the effectiveness of the de-icing system in a real environment and confirm that the aircraft is safe to operate in natural icing conditions.
To collect data, the aircraft will be equipped with special equipment: sensors and video recording cameras. The tests involve specialists from Yakovlev and experts from certification centers. Organizational support is provided by the Talagi airport services.
