Kirov plant "Mayak" (part of the "Kalashnikov" concern) received the first batch of metalworking equipment in 2026 as part of an investment project.
The machine park of the enterprise has been replenished with metalworking centers with numerical program control. Their commissioning will significantly increase the volume of production.
Currently, three milling machines are undergoing commissioning, and four more large-sized machines are being prepared for launch. The first ones will be able to process bodies of revolution, holes, and various surfaces, while the second ones are designed for the manufacture of large and long parts.
It is planned to launch the new equipment in March. The modernization of the machine park will continue - in total, more than 400 units of modern equipment will be delivered to "Mayak" during 2026.
