The Octava plant in Tula (part of Rostec) has begun to upgrade its production facilities. With the support of the Industrial Development Fund, the company will purchase more than 20 units of modern equipment, the state corporation said.
Electric discharge machines with CNC, laser installations, hydraulic and mechanical presses will appear in the workshops. The modernization will improve the efficiency of stamping, casting and processing of parts for electroacoustics, which is necessary to replace imported components.
In parallel with the production of famous microphones and headsets (including the new Garuda model with noise cancellation), the plant will continue to develop the Obereg body armor line - from general-purpose to concealed carry versions.
The equipment upgrade is scheduled to be completed by mid-2026. The new machines will help to bring promising developments to the market faster and expand the possibilities of mass production.
