Voronezh Aircraft Manufacturing Company (VASO, part of PJSC "Il") is building a section for the production of MS-21 aircraft parts based on the "kaizen" principles. This section produces automatic welding of pipelines made of aluminum, stainless steel, and titanium alloys. Cost-effective lean manufacturing mechanisms also play a significant role.
The "kaizen" principle suggests that all employees of the company can and should contribute to improving processes. For example, workers can suggest optimizations for working at a machine or introducing new tools.
The "kaizen" philosophy is based on five main pillars: sorting, assigning importance, cleanliness, standardization, discipline.
With the participation of specialists from the VASO production system development department, standards for organizing workplaces were developed, marking was carried out, work areas were designated, and visualization was provided, including cleaning schedules.
Alexey Bulgakov, Deputy Head of the Workshop for Production Preparation The implementation of lean manufacturing principles is part of the plan. Within the framework of these principles, a locksmith section, as well as a warehouse for storing tooling and parts, will be created in a single complex with the welding section. Almost the entire range of parts for the MS-21 that require welding (with the exception of corner pieces) will be produced at VASO in a full cycle.
Thus, the plant will be able to provide new production that meets modern requirements. Moreover, the site will be created as a model one, so that its example can be used to comprehensively organize production not only at VASO, but also at the blanking and stamping production facilities of other Voronezh enterprises.
Earlier, www1.ru reported that 200 aircraft will be built in Russia by 2030: there are guaranteed buyers with money.
