Russian scientists have developed a technology based on the use of fuzzy neural networks for the production of biofuel. This was reported by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation.
Scientists from the Institute of Oil and Gas of the Siberian Federal University have studied the possibilities of using fuzzy neural networks as an intelligent control system in the process of making biofuel from biomass of various origins.
In the future, this intelligent assistant will be able to quickly adjust the parameters of the technological process taking place in a mobile biofuel station to the needs of the customer.
Fuzzy neural networks are unique algorithms that combine the principles of neural networks and methods of fuzzy logic, which is a part of mathematics that generalizes classical logic and set theory. Currently, they are considered one of the most promising basic technologies in the field of artificial intelligence, allowing the creation of adaptive systems capable of self-learning.
Earlier, a new unique class of organic catalysts was developed at St. Petersburg State University, which retain their activity even when interacting with other substances during the reaction. The created organic catalysts are capable of activating substances involved in the reaction, even in conditions where metal complex catalysts are ineffective. The advantages of these new substances include their economic benefit, environmental safety and the possibility of reuse.
