The newest anti-aircraft missile system (SAM) "Pantsir-SMD-E" is capable of replacing an entire battery of other SAMs on its own. This was stated by Bekhan Ozdoev, Industrial Director of the Rostec cluster of weapons, ammunition and special chemistry.
The State Corporation will present the novelty at the IDEX-2025 exhibition in the UAE from February 17 to 21.
In Abu Dhabi, we are presenting a full-scale model of the newest "Pantsir-SMD-E" complex. Currently, there are simply no solutions of this level on the arms market. Absolute exclusive. The complex is capable of using a large number of mini-missiles to destroy drones. In fact, one such combat module, when fighting UAVs, replaces a battery of other anti-aircraft missile systems. A single complex can launch 48 mini-missiles at the enemy. "Pantsir-SMD-E" confirmed the stated characteristics during testing.
A feature of the newest installation is remote control, with one operator handling the control. It can be located, in particular, in a bunker, at a distance of up to 500 m, control is carried out via fiber optics.
Earlier www1.ru reported that the "Vobla" superdrone was assembled for the Russian military from four UAVs.
