Moscow Polytechnic University plans to develop a line of modern electric vehicles by 2030, including models of categories L7 and M1, as well as unmanned transport platforms and electrified road and utility equipment. The project's partners include major Russian companies such as KAMAZ, AVTOTOR, and "Merkator", which emphasizes the importance of the initiative for the domestic industry.
According to the rector of the university, Vladimir Miklushevsky, 17 years of experience in the field of electric vehicle construction has allowed the university to become a recognized partner for the industry. The integration of the educational process with the activities of partner enterprises has become a key element in the training of specialists. Moscow Polytech has created its own design bureau, where experienced engineers, designers, and technologists work, solving problems for the real sector of the economy.
Since 2022, the university has been developing the Advanced Engineering School of Electric Transport, which includes six master's programs: engineering design, racing engineering, highly automated vehicles, software engineering in the automotive industry, electrified vehicles, design and stylistics of vehicles. Within the framework of the school, a design bureau operates, including five specialized centers, which ensures the development of new technologies and the training of highly qualified personnel for the industry.
