The Ministry of Education has presented a draft order introducing a new federal state educational standard for training specialists in the field of UAV flight operations. According to it, only universities and vocational institutions have the right to train UAV operators. The new specialty has code 25.02.11.
The program is available for graduates of grades 9 and 11 and involves full-time education with the possibility of using electronic and distance methods. It includes:
- flight operation of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV operator);
- management of UAV groups with the functions of a crew commander (UAV group operator);
- training of unmanned system crews (instructor for UAV operators).
At least 900 academic hours of practice will be required. However, the program and duration of training depend on the basic education: for eleventh-graders — 2 years and 10 months, and for ninth-graders — 3 years and 10 months.
Upon completion of training, students will undergo state final certification in the form of a state exam or diploma. Graduates will be able to work not only in the field of transport, but also in other areas corresponding to their qualifications.
Earlier it became known how and when the assembly of drones will be launched in Russian schools . Almost five thousand special classes will appear throughout Russia.
