Next year, tariffs for communications, Internet and paid television may increase by 15% or more, which is confirmed by a survey of Russian telecommunications companies.
According to TelcomDaily, 82% of respondents warn of rising prices. At the same time, none of the company representatives reported a decrease in tariff costs.
The main reasons for the increase in prices include the increase in costs against the background of the introduction of sanctions against Russia by the United States and the EU. Telecommunications equipment has risen in price, and the acquisition of spare parts for it has also become problematic due to difficulties with logistics.
In addition, tariffs are affected by the general deterioration of the economic situation in the country (inflation, fluctuations in the ruble exchange rate against foreign currency, an increase in the key rate by the Central Bank of the Russian Federation), and the departure of Western vendors.
Against this background, the increase in Internet traffic continues in Russia - up to +15% annually, which requires improvement of the telecommunications infrastructure. And it is impossible to ensure the quality of services provided to citizens without indexing tariffs, the operators summarized.
