About the experiment on voluntary insurance

In 2026, participants in the experiment can receive payments under a certificate of temporary disability, like hired employees (employed under the Labor Code of the Russian Federation or a civil law contract). To do this, it is necessary to choose the amount of the annual insurance sum: 35 thousand rubles or 50 thousand rubles.

Monthly or annual payment of insurance contributions is possible. The rate is 3.84%, that is, 1,344 rubles or 1,920 rubles respectively. Sick leave is paid after 6 months have passed since the monthly or annual contribution was made.

The amount of payments also depends, among other things, on the employee's length of service. A notification of the right to receive the funds will be sent by the Social Fund after the temporary disability certificate is closed.

Applications from self-employed people are also accepted on the Gosuslugi portal and at Social Fund branches.
