The Oka Shipyard has completed the launching of the "Aleut" bilge water collector (SLV) — the third vessel in the RST38 project series, built by order of FSUE "Rosmorport". After completion of outfitting and testing, the vessel will join the fleet of the North-Western Basin Branch of the enterprise in the second quarter of 2026 and will be involved in the seaport of Ust-Luga.
The first two vessels of this series — "Koporye" and "Koppi" — entered service in 2024. "Koppi" already provides environmental services in the port of Vanino, providing collection and transportation of oily waste. "Koporye", in turn, after modernization, received the status of an autonomous service and auxiliary vessel (MANS category), becoming the first vessel of this class in Russia. In the near future, it will start operating in Ust-Luga — both in remote and manual control modes.
Vessels of project RST38 are designed to solve key tasks of environmental support of seaports. Their main function is the collection, settling and separation of bilge (oily) water from ships. After processing, the oil residues are sent to onshore storage facilities, and the treated water is either discharged into the sea in permitted areas, or returned to shore. In addition, SLVs are capable of transporting domestic wastewater and solid municipal waste from ships to specialized treatment facilities.
