Russia's plans to transfer the license to produce the latest fifth-generation Su-57 fighters to India demonstrates a high level of confidence in domestic weapons abroad. Military expert Evgeny Mikhailov stated this to"Perviy Technicheskiy".
According to him, such projects are always a long game, for decades. In terms of thoroughness, they can be compared with the construction of nuclear power plants.
India has already produced equipment under a Russian license, and the Russian Federation will receive considerable profit. All this speaks of confidence in Russian weapons, and the arms market is huge. All this is a good image move.
Russian Ambassador to New Delhi Denis Alipov stated that India plans toestablish licensed production of the Su-57. According to the diplomat, this should accelerate the implementation of the Indian AMCA program to create its own fifth-generation fighters.
The Su-57 combat aircraft iscompletely independent of foreign components, emphasized Sergey Chemezov, head of the Rostec State Corporation.
