Meshchera operates on the basis of the Prometheus software and hardware complex and the Filin positioning system. The autopilot accurately determines the location of equipment and helps to build optimal trajectories and reduce the number of empty runs. The novelty is compatible not only with tractors, but also with combines and other machines.

Alexander Dernovoy, Deputy General Director of the High-Precision Systems holding for the promotion of civil products, announced plans to demonstrate Meshchera on a tractor in 2026.

Vladimir Pimenov, General Director of JSC VNII Signal, noted that the Meshchera system is a step forward in the automation of agricultural machinery and a further transfer of technology from the military sphere to peaceful use. Plans to expand the functionality of the system include creating automation for groups of agricultural machines.

Earlier www1.ru reported that a new import-substituted control system for tractors was developed at NSTU.
