Double-decker passenger cars for the high-speed branded train "Burevestnik", built by order of the Federal Passenger Company (FPC, a subsidiary of JSC "Russian Railways"), have received a certificate of compliance with the requirements of the technical regulations of the Customs Union. This was reported by the press service of the national carrier.
Features of the cars for the «Буревестник» train:
- Salon with two seating options — for 104 and 60 seats
- 3 toilets in each car
- Innovative "starry sky" lighting in first and second class cars
- Individual socket for the passenger
- USB and Type-C connectors for charging mobile devices
- Adjustable seat back tilt
The train livery combines green and gray colors with an elegant flourish resembling the silhouette of a bird. And the interior of the cars uses gray, beige and light green tones, creating a cozy atmosphere.
Each «Буревестник» will consist of at least 10 double-decker cars: with seating, a compartment staff car, SV and a bistro car.
Russian Railways reported that the Tver Carriage Works will soon transfer 37 cars to FPC. The updated «Буревестники» will be launched on the Moscow — Nizhny Novgorod route on December 3. Ticket sales for them have been open since the beginning of October.
