The fourth-generation Su-34 fighter-bombers are among the most "popular" combat aircraft in the Russian Aerospace Forces (VKS). The Technosphere Russia publication has calculated approximately how many "combat ducklings" are in service with domestic aviation.
The Su-34 replaced the previous Su-24M model in the troops. The total number of Su-34 and Su-34M bombers produced is approaching 200 units, including prototypes.
At the same time, foreign sources specify that in 2025, the Russian Aerospace Forces will use at least 140 aircraft. After 2022, official information on the number of delivered and incoming new front-line bombers is not published.
The Su-34 version, also known as the Su-34NVO, surpasses the basic Su-34 thanks to new electronic equipment, but the engines remained the same - AL-31F, with 12,500 kgf of thrust each and allowing speeds up to 1,900 km/h.
Military expert Yaroslav Dymchuk called on the country's military leadership to abandon the Su-34, pointing to insufficient maneuverability and the actual absence of stealth technologies. Instead, he called for forces to be thrown into the production of the Su-35S generation "4++".
On Monday, October 6, Rostec announced the transfer of the sixth batch of Su-34s to the Ministry of Defense this year. The state corporation promised thatthe next delivery will take place before the end of 2025.
Earlier www1.ru reported that Russia is ready to offer deliveries of Su-57 and S-400 air defense systems abroad.
