Engineers of the Russian holding company "Sinara-Transport Machines" have developed a three-section tram "Sinara 71-233". It is already being tested in Yekaterinburg, the manufacturer's press service reported.
"Sinara-71233" is being tested without passengers. Experts checked traction and braking modes, assessed the smoothness of the ride and the speed of interaction of systems responsible for acceleration and stopping of the tram.
There are several more trips and certification ahead.
The Sinara tram is designed for passenger transportation. A number of innovative solutions were applied during its development. Rail transport received an all-metal steel body and a low-floor bogie with a kinematic system.
