The Committee on Instrument Engineering, Control Systems, Electronic and Electrical Engineering Industry of the Russian Engineering Union held a meeting at JSC "KRET" (an enterprise of the Rostec State Corporation). The main item on the agenda was the discussion of the creation of digital test sites for virtual testing - a promising scientific and technical direction in the development of aviation technology and electronic warfare.
A necessary condition for the implementation of the "virtual testing" technology is the availability of developed digital twins of products. Digital twins, in turn, are being developed to improve the quality of new products and reduce the time it takes to bring them to the stage of mass production.
The use of digital test sites will also allow for virtual certification of the MC-21 aircraft's avionics. This means that part of the necessary tests will be carried out in a virtual environment, which will significantly speed up the certification process and allow the aircraft to be put into operation faster.
The technologies developed within this project can be used to create digital test sites for other types of aircraft, as well as for the development of new control and navigation systems.
МС-21 is a Russian medium-range narrow-body twin-engine passenger aircraft. It is designed to transport passengers, baggage and cargo on domestic and international airlines.
Earlierwww1.ru reported that Rosaviatsiya confirmed high standards of production of parts and components for PD-14.
