The head of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Gennady Krasnikov, is confident that in the coming decades humanity will witness amazing changes: people will gradually turn into cyborgs, and robots will become more human-like creatures. He stated this in an interview. The scientist is convinced that the two processes will be interconnected and it will become extremely difficult to distinguish between a human and a cyborg.
I think it's the end of the 2030s.
In his opinion, in the future, the mass implantation of chips into the human body will become a reality. Thus, people will be able to improve their physical and sensory abilities by implanting additional memory modules, infrared vision, and expanding hearing capabilities. According to Krasnikov, this will open up new horizons for interaction with the world around us.
On the other hand, the development of robotics will lead to the creation of more human-like and empathetic machines. The scientist believes that such robots will be able to build social connections, which will make them even more like humans.
To implement this ambitious idea, it is necessary to create high-speed 5G and 6G networks that will allow the construction of supercomputer centers needed to train autonomous robots. This will become the basis for the further development of technologies that will change our understanding of the interaction between humans and machines, the scientist believes.
