United Engine Corporation (UEC) is ahead of schedule in implementing Russian software for the design and production of aircraft engines, according to the corporation's press service. The program is being implemented within the framework of the "Engine Building" industrial competence center and is aimed at the technological independence of the industry.
The accelerated implementation of software allows for the successful development and manufacture of parts from composite materials for the PD-14 aircraft engine.
Thanks to the use of domestic CAD/PLM systems, such as "Kompas 3D" and "Lotsman", as well as the "KOMPAS-Composites" module, the Perm enterprise was able to create a prototype part for the engine
The implementation of Russian software covers several areas: design, product lifecycle management (PLM), reference materials (POLINOM:MDM), cable design (CAD MAX), and supply chain management (system from SPC 1C).
At the UEC-STAR enterprise, the supply chain management system is already being tested in two workshops and five departments: about 100 employees daily create orders, keep records of materials, and compile shift tasks.
It is emphasized that the project for the implementation of SCPM is 84% complete, and for the import substitution of CAD/PLM products - 68%. The next stage is the pilot industrial operation of the system in all UEC-STAR workshops and preparation for implementation at UEC-Salut and UEC-Saturn enterprises.
