Car Brands Approved for Taxi Services Announced

Cars of the brands Lada, "Moskvich", Evolute, Haval, Solaris, and Sollers will be included in the list of cars that can be used in taxi services. Journalists write about this, emphasizing that this is not a final list yet. The full version may be presented in the second half of October.

The need for such a list is related to the signing by President Vladimir Putin of a law that introduces requirements for the level of localization of cars used in taxis. The document will come into force on March 1, 2026. Its authors were officials from the Ministry of Industry and Trade. The law stipulates that the level of localization for taxi models must be at least 3200 points. As an alternative, cars produced under a special investment contract (SPIC) concluded between March 1, 2022, and March 1, 2025, are allowed.

According to the first criterion, which concerns the level of localization, the entire current Lada lineup is undergoing verification. The company Evolute has also expressed hope for the inclusion of its models, such as i-Pro, i-Joy, i-Sky, i-Jet, and i-Space, as well as Voyah, in the list.

As for the second criterion, the model range of "Moskvich", including models 3, 3e, 6, and 8, is likely to meet the requirements as well. It is expected that Haval and Solaris cars may also be included in the list, as they are likely to fit the conditions associated with SPIC.
