Has the story with the cat Twix taught nothing?: A resident of Kuban accused Russian Railways of inaction after the dog disappeared

A resident of Timashevsk, located in the Krasnodar Territory, told about the disappearance of her dog during a trip on the Novorossiysk — Yekaterinburg train. The woman used the services of Russian Railways to transport her pet in a special box without accompaniment, hoping for safety and care from the staff.

According to the owner, the incident occurred at the Povereno station in the Voronezh region, where the conductor opened the compartment and released the dog. In response to the accusations, representatives of Russian Railways stated that the employees opened the box door to feed the animal, but the dog took the opportunity and escaped.

The dog's owner noted that the conductor did not immediately report the loss, which caused her bewilderment and anger. She plans to file an official statement against the conductor for his inaction and untimely notification of the incident. At the moment, the search for the dog has been going on for the sixth day since the incident, which occurred on September 5. The woman hopes for an early discovery of her pet and calls on all concerned to help in the search.

The tragic story with the cat Twix

This incident with the animal is not the first on Russian Railways trains. In early 2024, the cat Twix disappeared from the Yekaterinburg — St. Petersburg train, it was thrown out of the car by the conductor.

The fluffy passenger traveled in a carrier. A ticket was issued for him. On the morning of January 11, the tailed one got out of the carrier and began to walk around the cabin. The conductor, not finding the owner, threw the cat out of the car in Kirov, mistaking him for a stray, despite the severe frost. The cat died.

Russian Railways conducted an investigation and acknowledged the conductor's mistake. As a result, the rules for transporting animals were changed: now they cannot be disembarked from trains, and found cats must be handed over to animal rights activists.
