Great Wall Motor (Haval brand) has announced plans to launch large-scale production of auto components in the Tula region in 2026. The new enterprise will provide the Haval plant, located in the same industrial zone, with the necessary parts. This was announced by the Governor of the Tula region, Dmitry Milyaev, emphasizing the importance of this project for the region.
According to him, Great Wall Motor is in active negotiations with the Russian authorities to obtain permission to use Haval cars in taxis. This is becoming especially relevant in light of the upcoming entry into force of the law on the localization of taxis.
In June of this year, Great Wall Motor signed an agreement on additional investments in its production cluster in the Tula region as part of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum 2025. The total investment in the creation of the auto component plant will amount to 30 billion rubles, which will create a thousand new jobs.
The company will specialize in the production of polymer parts for the exterior and interior of cars, as well as gearboxes. This will significantly increase the level of production localization and strengthen Haval's position in the Russian market.
