The "Uralvagonzavod" concern (UVZ, part of Rostec) is engaged in перспективными developments of armored vehicles, which will create a design and technological reserve for decades, the company's press service reported.
The concern emphasized that the developments will allow Russian tank building to maintain its leading position in the world. UVZ is currently the only manufacturer of tracked armored vehicles and tanks in Russia.
The General Director of UVZ, Alexander Potapov, stated that tank building in Russia is currently on the rise.
This is confirmed, among other things, by the T-72B3M, T-80BVM, T-90M, BMPT, BREM and other combat and engineering vehicles.
The concern added that constant work is also underway to improve the tactical and technical characteristics of combat vehicles. Over the past three years, more than 200 different changes have been made to their design, aimed at increasing their power, protection and maneuverability.
