Glavgosexpertiza of Russia has issued a positive conclusion on the project for the development of a well cluster at the Nivagalskoye field in the Nizhnevartovsk district of the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug — Yugra. The approval procedure was completed in record time.
The project expertise was conducted in 23 working days instead of the standard 42. According to Rinat Badykshanov, a representative of the department, this was made possible thanks to the coordinated work of experts, the design institute, and the client.
The project plans to construct 24 wells at cluster No. 455. This will increase oil and associated gas production, as well as maintain the necessary reservoir pressure. To provide infrastructure for the facility, a field pipeline, a high-pressure water pipeline, power lines, and a road will also be laid.
The commissioning of new wells will increase the volume of oil and associated petroleum gas production, and will also ensure the maintenance of reservoir pressure at the required level. Ultimately, this will ensure the implementation of production processes provided for by the technological scheme for the development of the Nivagalskoye field.
The Nivagalskoye field was discovered in 1982, 33 kilometers from the city of Langepas. A feature of its reserves is that the oil is concentrated in low-permeability sandstones, which requires the use of special technologies for its efficient extraction.
