Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin signed a decree on the introduction of a new class of airspace in Russia — H, designed specifically for drones. Now drones will be able to officially fly at altitudes up to 150 meters above the ground, as well as along specially designated routes — up to 3050 meters.
Previously, only classes A, C and G, focused on manned aviation, operated in Russia. The new class H is выделен in a separate category, which, according to Deputy Prime Minister Vitaly Savelyev, makes Russia one of the few countries with such a legal solution.
Rosaviatsiya will publish routes and rules for using this space. Flights will be allowed for drones of any weight — both light and heavier than 30 kg. Work is also underway on a system to prevent collisions between drones and manned aircraft.
The creation of a special class of airspace simplifies and legalizes the mass use of drones in logistics, agriculture, construction and other areas.
